I cannot do the nerd/geek/dork webquiz all my friends are doing, because OKCupid is now being blocked by QTel. How will I occupy my weekends now I can't take silly webquizzes???

Currently I'm occupying my weekend by looking through the portfolio of a digital retoucher mentioned on Neil Gaiman's blog this morning. I really enjoy seeing what people can do with Photoshop. He can do some pretty spectacular things with lighting, as well as the usual depressing things with making models look even skinnier than they are. What amazes me is how much retouching goes on of inoffensive things like elbows and knees, purely to make the models look more plasticky and Barbie-like.

I'm also amazed that even professional models have cellulite. That's my happy thought for the day!

UPDATE: Now that I'm on my uncensored net connection at work, I can state for the record that I am a Pure Nerd: 82% Nerd, 47% Geek, 30% Dork. For my age and sex I am in the 91st percentile for nerdiness, 67th for geekosity and 50th for dorkiness.

well, at least his model choice is somewhat diverse? everyone starts looking kind of alien after a certain amount of retouching

Wait wait, was the question "Have you ever scheduled your time and committments"? No, I just went back to check and it said "Are there", not "Have there ever been". Hah. Still, I tested with both answers and it didn't change my score. (Does the fact that I tested two options make me even more of a nerd, geek, or dork?)

And some unconventional things will work too. I just tested this academic site with an OK Cupid quiz, for example.

However, there might be better ways to spend *most* of your weekend than taking OK Cupid quizzes, even if you're at low risk of hooking up with anyone.
