Life sans Justin report, day 2:
  • I have blasted NO cheesy music. I did listen to The Doors and Evanescence on my iPod, but I can do that without sarcastic comments any time.

  • I left work at 6:30 today. Nobody tell Justin; he'll never again let me whine about staying late on his account.

  • I have eaten no spaghetti whatsover.

Clearly I am not making the most of my temporarily single status!

If, tomorrow at 5:10, you are not home eating pasta, while the soul-gnawing strains of Really Bad Music play in the background, I'm going to be very disappointed. :)

Actually, I should probably ask you this, rather than your lovely wife:

What do you have against pasta?

I found the best part of temporary singledom (Nic was out of the country last week) was getting to sleep in the middle of the bed with the covers however I liked them. We have serious sheet-and-blanket issues, you see...

What's Justin got against pasta?

Justin has nothing against pasta, to my knowledge. He is, in fact, quite fond of a plate of pasta from time to time.

I, on the other hand (as you may recall from our roommate days), would be quite happy to have pasta for dinner four or five nights a week. It's quick, it's easy, it's filling, it's yummy.... Why would you not want spaghetti every day? So, every night when Justin says, "Thoughts on dinner?" I have to stop myself from saying, "Sketti sketti sketti!" every time, and instead take the opportunity to add more pasta goodness to my diet when he's working late or out of town.

I have very similar feelings, but more about ramen than spaghetti. When C was working in London, I had Sapporo Ichiban nearly every day. Mmm mmm good.

I guess the acorn never falls that far from the other acorn.
