Today, for the first time ever, I pulled up outside a juice stall and honked my horn for service. I feel like a real Dohaite now!
I was buying Casablancas (a layered drink of coconut, avocado and strawberry juices) for a little gathering we had at work for a coworker's birthdays. Our friends sang the birthday song to him in Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, Urdu, Bengali and English, and a few minutes later another friend dropped by later to sing "Sto lat" in Polish. Things like that make me very happy about my life. :-)

Coconut, avocado, and some non-saturated-fat-berry... wow. You DRINK that?
Wait. "Sto lat" is the Polish happy birthday song? Not the city that Susan Death is from? You've just shattered my world! Or at least the flat one.
