Cannibalism in Qatar?

It's true! Four Asians land in jail for cannibalism
You know it's gonna be a good story when The Peninsula starts a headline with "It's true!"
I'm entirely perplexed, however. The only way a finger would show up on an X-ray is if the dude ate it whole, bones and all. This seems like an inefficient and above all painful way to dispose of a corpse.
In only slightly less amusing news, Status worry keeps Qataris away from private sector jobs. The article speculates wildly as to motivations, but it is in fact the case that less than 2% of the Qatari workforce is employed in the private sector (source).

I'm also wondering about what sort of "severe reactions" you suffer to eating human flesh, other than the obvious psychological ones. Is it like being lactose intolerant? "Sorry, I can't eat shellfish or human, brings me out in hives"?
