Today's paper reports the stories of three individuals petitioning the National Human Rights Commitee this week. Two want to be released from their sponsors, and the sponsorship system itself is clearly at fault for their problems. The third is about the be deported because he was charged with a drug offense, even though he was found not guilty. This is, apparently, not uncommon.
It just doesn't stop....
In other news, I just went to the website Qatar Sucks, which catalogs human rights abuses in Qatar, and discovered that it's been blocked by QTel. I'm rather shocked; this is the first time I've seen something overtly censored here for what appear to be political motives.
