I'm still following The Peninsula every day, although I haven't been posting links while I've been out of the country. Here are some interesting articles for the last couple days:
- Everyone prepared for 'Eid tomorrow? Got your sheep or goat to sacrifice? Apparently it's costing more this year, part of the general increase in the cost of living over the past year. Not all are equally affected, though.
- Many abused women being treated at HMC [Hamad Medical Corporation, the state hospital system].
- Men monopolising bus services, lament women By "men," of course, they mean manual laborers.
- No chances of rain today, say weathermen. Isn't that a great headline in a country where it fails to rain 363 days a year?
