If you're like most Americans, you first heard of Qatar when bevies of news reporters started appearing on your television from Doha, Qatar, reporting on the war in Iraq. That's because Qatar hosts the forward headquarters for U.S. Central Command and is the main staging area for American ground troops in the Gulf.

At any rate, it seems notable that the foreign minister now says that Qatar "will not participate by any means to harm Iran from Qatar."
