Franklin's virtues
Feb. 28th, 2006 01:42 pmI'd head before about Benjamin Franklin's list of virtues, but I'd never read them before.
I don't know whether I'm more amused that his note on Humility was "Imitate Jesus and Socrates" (a very humble aspiration!) or that his note on Chastity was "Rarely use venery but for health or offspring." That's quite a goal.
