Not without my cat

I just came across Not Without My Cat, the blog of a German woman who married a Saudi and moved to Jeddah about five years ago. She just started blogging last month, but she's already posted some really thought-provoking things about Islam, the abaya and so on.

I have been heard to say, in defense of Qatar, that it's not like I moved somewhere scary like Saudi. This blog was a nice reminder that there are Westerners who love Saudi as much as I love it here.
