Time it was, and what a time it was

Exactly one year ago right now I was at Heathrow, boarding the final leg of our first flight to Doha. I was so anxious: nervous about what to expect, unsure about basic things like where we'd be living and what exactly I'd be doing, anxious to like and be liked by the people we were traveling with (who are still some of my favorite people here).

It's hard to believe it's been a year! And it's been an incredible year, at that. I'm so glad we decided to come.
