I'm sitting on my sofa looking out at two birds preening themselves on the windowsill. I'm not sure if they see themselves in the window or if they're looking in, but these birds are always coming close and looking terribly curious. They're the same ones I referred to in one of my first posts, that we thought were babies because they were so fluffy-headed and held their beaks open as though asking for a worm.

I have finally determined that they are definitely common mynah birds. They look exactly like those pictures except I never see them with their mouths closed. Then again, the same is true of the little brown birds around here. Do birds shed heat through their tongues like dogs?
