Note to new readers
Jul. 22nd, 2004 03:31 pmHello, everybody! Since I just sent out an e-mail to all my friends & family with information about this blog, I'm assuming this is going to be read by some people who haven't been on Livejournal before.
So, welcome to my blog! As you can see, journal entries are in reverse chronological order, so you can scroll down (and, when there are enough entries, go back a page) to read previous entries, such as the Qatar FAQ I posted a week ago. You can also click on the link that says "comment on this" at the bottom of each entry to add your feedback or other comments about whatever I'm talking about.
Anybody can read my blog and post comments responding to my entries. However, not all of my entries can be read by everyone. Some of my entries are "friends-only," which means in order to read it you have to have a Livejournal account that I have given "friend" status. Usually I make an entry "friends-only" if it contains identifying information, since I want to be as anonymous as possible in the blog entries that everyone can read.
So, you basically have three options for reading my journal:
Well, I think that's it for now! Welcome to my journal!

So, you basically have three options for reading my journal:
- Read it just like you are reading it now, and miss the occasional friends-only entry;
- Create your own (free) Livejournal account, and then e-mail me to let me know your user ID so I can "friend" you and you can read everything; or
- E-mail and let me know that you want to read my friends-only entries but don't want your own Livejournal account. I'll try to remember to e-mail you friends-only entries. (But I won't promise I'll remember every time!)
Well, I think that's it for now! Welcome to my journal!
