Our fabulous students

I don't frequently post pictures of our students, but this one is publicly available on the CMU website. It's from the celebration-of-summer-birthdays portion of the end-of-year party. Click the picture for an enormous version.

I can't see this picture either. :-( When I review the source code, I see the <a href=""> </a> with the link to the huge picture, but there is NOTHING between the two tags (I both IE and Firefox). Very weird indeed. :-( If anybody else can see the picture, I'll go and open a "support call" on LJ, as similar things have recently confounded me elsewhere.

In viewing the huge picture - is that you in the background on the right, is a sky-blue shirt and khaki colored pants? :-P

That is weird. I view my LiveJournal from two different browsers on two different computers, and I don't have problems on either one. Is anyone else having problems?

And yes, that's me! You stalker you. I guess once you can pick me out in a niqab, you can pick me out anywhere.

Hmm, it did just occur to me that the two pictures you can't see are ones that I force-resized using height and width attributes within the img src tag. I try not to do that because, well, it's dumb, but they're both images I'm borrowing from other people's websites and I didn't want them to look huge even if they're going to take forever to load. I wonder if that's what's creating the problem?

The tag itself says <img src="http://www.qatar.cmu.edu/media/2005_end_1.jpg" height="408" width="616">

Did more of the guys start wearing thobes or is that a bunch of Cornellians?

Well, Justin was going to make a formal announcement, but now that you've gone and outed him...

Yep, he has converted and found a tailor who will make 6'5" thobes. Apparently the guy just sews two normal ones together end-to-end and gets a Justin-sized one.

When asked for comment, he stated, "It's breezier - nice and cool for the summer. Besides, now the students can tell David and me apart."

There are Cornellians in the picture -- and also CMU staff, some of whom wear thobes.

Although Omar did wear a thobe on the last day of class. :-)
