For Dad

Here's what VERY fresh dates look like!

Marjorie looking at a cluster of dates

This was taken in the aforementioned McDonald's parking lot. In fact, while I'm at it, here's a picture of a sign in the McDonald's parking lot. This is the local McD cuisine:

McArabia

In other news, I've added two more books to my reading list: a nice science fiction anthology and Bernhard Schlink's The Reader.

A few seconds after that first picture was taken, Marjorie was inspired to formulate a treatise on what she called "The Universal Law of Gravitation".

A Proper Sense of Gravity

A knowledge of history proves foobart to be in error. It was Fig Newton in the 17th century who discovered gravitation. Further, it was not a date that fell on his head, but an apple. It was, I believe, a G5.

It must have been an imac G5. The Powermac would have killed the poor fellow!

Yes, but how stylin' a death!

So it was Fig Newton, not Dates?

And if McDonalds has dates growing in the parking lot, why would they ever expect customers to come inside for food? (Even though it looks better than a Big Mac...)

Note we've got both Apples and Mac going in this thread. Well done, people. The Steve would be proud of us.
